Tetris

Tetris, a well-known game, is inspired by the lesser-known Pentominos puzzle game. The word "Pentomino" comes from the Greek language's "pento" and "domino" and describes a figure composed of 5 squares. Alexey Pajitnov, the developer, had an ingenious idea: "What if Pentominos were transformed into dominos with 4 blocks instead of 5?" The concept of Tetraminos also referred to as Tetris, was conceived at that instant.

Instructions

  • Tetris consists of organizing colorful blocks within a 20x10 grid.
  • Shapes resembling the letters I, J, L, O, S, T, and Z, known as Tetriminoes, move slowly downward from the screen's top.
  • While the shapes are falling, you can choose to move them horizontally or rotate them to find the perfect angle and placement for the blocks to fit neatly in your grid.
  • When a line is filled, all the blocks in that line will disappear.
  • Your main goal is to get rid of as many lines as possible before the tetrominoes start falling quickly.
  • Before all the blocks gather in one column, succeed in obtaining the highest score and be the winner of the game.
